Why Music?

I almost started crying today while singing.

Music moves me.
It's a physical and beautiful way of expressing so many different types of feelings
and sometimes it overwhelms me.
And I want to stop singing and enjoy listening to everyone around me
Sit on the floor and cry my eyes out.
Something inside of me stirs, and I am no longer are thinking, but feeling everything and only Feeling
It's magical.

The Patriot

I always cry when the father (Mel Gibson) is leaving from the African American "hiding place" and is practically pleading for his youngest daughter Susan to speak to him. She doesn't say anything. After Mel Gibson is seated on his horse and about to return to the militia, Susan runs from her aunt Charolette's side yelling "Papa, I'll say anything, just tell me what to say. I'll say anything!" As Susan is running to her father with tears streaming down her baby doll cheeks, he leaps off of his horse to greet his daughter with love and open arms.
This scene means so much to me for many reasons. It shows the love between a father and his daughter. Susan tried to hide her love for her father by hating him and shoving him out of her life. But at this moment, she couldn't let her true love and need for her father sit on the side with the fear that she may never see her father again. She is crying out Papa, don't leave me. I need you. Don't abandon me. Mama already died and I don't know how to survive if you leave me too. This relationship between father and daughter can also be applied to many other types of relationships.
So often, we as human beings hurt inside and try to stuff our feelings, ignore them, or build brick walls around our hearts. In reality, our life on Earth is limited and we need to embrace the good relationships that we have and tell those around us how much we value their friendship, companionship, and relationship. A life without love is a life not worth living.

This is why my cellular phone is not working.

I decided on Thursday, May 15 to start being healthy. So I wanted to go running. I went on mapquest and found a route in the neighborhood; one mile there and one back. I figured, good. Not too long, not too short.

As I got ready to go, I tried on one of my old sports bras
and it was a bit tight. So I used a hand-me-down from my cousin, who's more endowed than me, so it fit quite well. I discovered that I could "lift-and-shift" and provide some nice cleavage
so then I thought, instead of putting my phone in my shorts where it will fall out or pull my shorts down...I put it between you know where because it would actually stay. Indeed, it did: jumping up and down, dance like a monster; stayed.

So I went on my run. When I got back, being the sweaty beast I am, the phone was wet
I didn't wipe it off right away and when I checked it 30 minutes later it was dead.

the end.

Reports

Just a few:

Today is my brother's 18th birthday. Happy Birthday, Daniel!!! I'm so proud of you.

Today, Daniel's volleyball team won their game versus Santa Fe. 9-0, Baby!!!

Finals are here, or at least, steadily approaching...YIKES.

I'm temporarily moving back to my parents' house because Aunt Peggy is coming for a while to stay with Grandy and Grandad. I am gladly welcoming the break.
I realized that part of being my age is realizing that I don't have a home of my own. I'm not moving back to MY house. I'm living at my GRANDPARENTS' house. I am welcome in either home, but neither is MINE.

I'm definitely going to Italy in July; I made my final payment today.

I'm broke. (What's new)

My mom talked to her friend, who was a travel agent, to help plan our trip to Massachusetts for when I move out there in August. I really appreciate her initiative in helping me plan the move. =D
